UFL Week 5 Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Panthers vs. Battlehawks (Saturday)

Week 4 of the 2025 UFL season is in the books. Last week, I went 1-3 on my four bets. I had a 1-1 record for the Friday night matchup between the Memphis Showboats and the Michigan Panthers, with the over of 35.5 points barely hitting (36). However, the Showboats were blown out by 18 points, failing to cover the 8.5-point spread.

Meanwhile, I went 0-2 in Saturday's matchup between the St. Louis Battlehawks and the Arlington Renegades. The Battlehawks got blown out, losing 30-15, crushing my MoneyLine bet. Furthermore, a pick-six thrown by backup quarterback Max Duggan with 33 seconds left ruined my under 39.5 points bet, with the total ending at 45 because of that late touchdown.

However, last week's games are in the books. Now, it's time to move on to Week 5. Let's look at my two favorite bets from Saturday night's matchup between the Michigan Panthers and the St. Louis Battlehawks.

UFL Week 5 Picks & Predictions: Panthers vs. Battlehawks

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook

Bet #1 - Panthers -2.5 (-110)

The Panthers have been one of the top teams in the UFL this season. They have a 3-1 record, with their lone loss coming to the Birmingham Stallions in Week 2, 21-12. Last week, Michigan had a blowout victory over the Memphis Showboats, winning by 18 points. More importantly, the Panthers' three victories this year have been by an average of 11.7 points per game, with two coming by 14 or more, including 18 last week.

Unfortunately, Manny Wilkins suffered a torn Achilles on the first drive in last week's loss to the Arlington Renegades, ending his season. Max Duggan came off the bench, completing 47.1% of his pass attempts for 78 yards and two interceptions. However, he did have an impact in the run game, totaling 10 rushing attempts for 42 yards. More importantly, the Battlehawks only scored one touchdown in Week 4, when Willie Harvey had a pick-six off Luis Perez.

While this game would have been an outstanding matchup a few weeks ago, the loss of Wilkins can't be understated. Meanwhile, the Panthers got back on track in Week 4 with a blowout victory after two shaky performances over the previous two weeks. Michigan has the top-scoring offense in the UFL while posting a top-four-scoring defense. Don't be surprised if the Panthers get their third win by 14 or more points on Saturday night.

Bet #2 - Over 37.5 Points (-110)

Betting the under has been the play for most of the UFL season. However, the points have started to pile up lately. More importantly, Michigan's games have been high-scoring contests. The average number of points scored in their first four games has been 39 per game, totaling 36 or more in all but one matchup, including last week. Furthermore, the Panthers are favored to win tonight. They have scored at least 26 points in every victory this year.

Meanwhile, St. Louis has also had no trouble putting up points. Their first four games have ended with an average total of 39.8 points per game, totaling 35 or more in every contest. Furthermore, the total in their past two games has been 42 points in Week 3 and 45 last week despite losing Manny Wilkins early in the matchup. More importantly, the Battlehawks' defense has struggled lately, surrendering 27 or more points in back-to-back games.

Michigan leads the UFL in scoring, averaging 22.8 points per game. The next closest team is St. Louis, averaging 21.8 points per game this year. Both offenses have been consistent all season, with the Panthers scoring 26 or more in all but one game. By comparison, the Battlehawks have scored 26 or more in half of their matchups. While St. Louis' offense hasn't played as well lately, expect Michigan's to dominate, allowing the over to hit.
