UFC 315 Muhammad vs. Della Maddalena: Parlay Picks & Predictions
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Leg 1: Natalia Silva (-270)
My preview article goes into more detail regarding the Natalia Silva-Alexa Grasso fight. Silva has had an excellent start to her UFC career, and Grasso is a fantastic matchup for her.
Silva is a quick and explosive kickboxer who uses a lot of movement. She will be hard to hit, especially for Grasso, who utilizes a lot of boxing. Grasso is also at risk of getting caught by a kick as she pressures inside to blitz Silva.
Neither fighter is much of a wrestler, but Grasso would be the one to implement wrestling skills if she has trouble landing clean shots. Silva has defended 91% of takedowns in the UFC, so she should be able to stay on her feet as Grasso is not the best wrestler. Silva is a solid leg to start this parlay.
Leg 2: Jose Aldo (-205)
Jose Aldo fights Aiemann Zahabi in the third fight on the main card. I predicted Aldo by knockout in my longshot article. There are more details about this matchup there.
Aldo has performed well since moving to bantamweight, winning four of his last six fights. His most recent fight with Mario Bautista could have gone either way, but Bautista won. Aldo probably landed more damage, but did not win the split decision. The other loss in his last six fights was to Merab Dvalishvili, who currently holds the belt. Zahabi is on a five-fight winning streak, but this will be the toughest matchup of his career.
Aldo should have the speed advantage, and does not have to worry about wrestling against Zahabi. That should pay dividends for him in this matchup. Zahabi relies on fight intelligence, and Aldo will have the advantage there. He is one of the most experienced fighters on the roster and has seen every style. Aldo should bounce back in this matchup as he moves up the rankings in the bantamweight division.
Leg 3: Manon Fiorot (-130)
This parlay will be back-to-back-to-back, so we need to predict three fights in a row. Manon Fiorot is challenging champion Valentina Shevchenko in the co-main event. Read my more in-depth preview of this fight.
Fiorot is a tough matchup for Shevchenko. Fiorot has the striking ability to give Shevchenko trouble and will be hard to get to the mat. She has defended 93% of takedowns in the UFC and should be able to fend them off enough to stay standing for most of the fight.
Fiorot's striking may be better than Shevchenko's. She has solid kicks and can fight at range. Grasso showed the path to victory against Shevchenko, as she held her own in their three fights. Fiorot should be able to win the belt, but it will come down to her takedown defense, which has been superb in the UFC.
Parlay Odds: +260
