Kansas City Royals (-105) vs. Baltimore Orioles (-115) | O/U 9.0 (+100/-120)
The Orioles (13-18) took care of business in last night's series opener, beating the Royals (17-16) 3-0 out East. The two teams are back at it tonight, and we have a pitching matchup between Kris Bubic and Tomoyuki Sugano. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET from Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD.
I'm playing the under at this elevated number of 9.0 runs. Both offenses have greatly underperformed in 2025. The O's are just 19th in scoring (3.97 runs per game), while the Royals are 28th (3.18 runs per game). Over the last seven days, the teams are 21st (.294) and 20th (.295) in wOBA, respectively. They're also bottom-half teams in terms of ISO, so the power numbers are lacking as well.
On the bump, Kris Bubic has looked sharp this year, bringing in the 12th-best ERA (2.25) in the MLB. As for Sugano, he appears to be settling into the Majors, bringing in a respectable 3.00 ERA. He's coming off a five-inning shutout performance against the Yankees. With these floundering offenses and a couple of solid starters, I'm playing the under.
Bet: Under 9.0 Runs (-120)
Los Angeles Dodgers (-105) vs. Atlanta Braves (-115) | O/U 8.5 (-110/-110)
The Dodgers (22-10) are heating up, and last night's 2-1 win over the Braves (14-17) marked their sixth straight victory. They'll turn to Roki Sasaki to try and keep things rolling, while Atlanta counters with Spencer Schwellenbach. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. ET from Truist Park in Atlanta, GA.
If the Braves are going to win a game in this series, their best chance to do so is tonight with Schwellenbach taking the mound. The right-hander has been superb in 2025, boasting a 2.87 ERA (26th) and a 0.98 WHIP (14th). Schwellenbach also has solid head-to-head numbers against the Dodgers, as their current roster is slashing .200/.238/.400 against him over 20 at-bats.
Overall, the Braves are now 9-4 in their last 13 games, so they may be turning the page after an ugly start to the year. Over the last 14 days, Atlanta is ninth in wOBA (.335) and 10th in wRC+ (111).
Meanwhile, Sasaki (3.55 ERA) certainly isn't dominating the MLB just yet, so I expect this veteran Braves side to jump on him early and supply some run support for Schwellenbach. Give me Atlanta to win at home tonight.
Bet: Braves Moneyline (-115)
Detroit Tigers (-185) vs. Los Angeles Angels (+150) | O/U 8.5 (-118/-102)
The Tigers (21-12) picked up their third straight win on Friday, hammering the Angels (12-19) in a 9-1 game. Tonight's pitching matchup pits Jack Flaherty against Kyle Hendricks. This American League clash is set for 9:38 p.m. ET from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA.
I'll play the Angels' team total to stay under 3.5 runs tonight out West. Overall, the Halos are the 25th-best offense in the MLB this season, averaging 3.58 runs per game. They've stayed under this total of 3.5 runs in five of their last six contests.
Over the last seven days, Los Angeles is 29th in both wOBA (.254) and wRC+ (59), while owning the highest strikeout percentage (28.9%) in the league.
Flaherty is primed to mow down this lowly Los Angeles lineup. He's been solid with a 3.34 ERA and 1.11 WHIP this season. If he can at least be serviceable, the Tigers can call on their elite bullpen to close this game out.
Detroit enters the weekend ranked third in both relief ERA (2.62) and WHIP (1.06). Their .199 opposing batting average is fifth. I don't see the Angels turning around their offensive struggles tonight, so I'll take their team total to stay under 3.5 runs.
