NHL Same Game Parlay Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (5/13)
We’ve got a standalone NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs game tonight when the Dallas Stars host the Winnipeg Jets. It’s Game 4 of this Second Round Western Conference tilt, with the Stars holding a 2-1 series lead.
Mikko Rantanen and company will attempt to defend home ice and take a commanding 3-1 lead over Connor Hellebuyck and the Jets. After getting shut out in a 4-0 loss at Winnipeg in Game 2, the Stars built an early lead in Game 3, before scoring back-to-back early in the 3rd period to regain momentum and grab a win at American Airlines Center.
Last week’s +144 NHL SGP settled as a win during Carolina’s 2-1 overtime win over Washington in Game 1. I’m back with another NHL Same Game Parlay to tail for one unit ahead of tonight’s Game 4 playoff matchup between the Jets and Stars. Tuesday's NHL SGP: Winnipeg Jets vs. Dallas Stars
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Winnipeg Jets (+122) vs. Dallas Stars (-146) | O/U 5.5 (-130/+106)
Thomas Harley 60 Min Player To Record 2+ Shots On Goal (-168)
I’m trying a different approach and staying in the same betting market for all three legs in today’s NHL Same Game Parlay featuring the Jets and Stars. Let’s head to the 60 minute player to record shots on goal market and start with Stars D Thomas Harley.
Harley has been Dallas’ best defenseman in the continued absence of Miro Heiskanen. Harley has recorded two or more shots on goal in seven straight playoff games, including all three against Winnipeg.
He logs between 24 and 25 minutes of time on the ice, so there’s ample opportunity for Harley to get pucks on the net, especially skating in the top defensive pairing and first powerplay unit. Let’s grab the value on Harley and back him to finish with two or more shots on goal during regulation in Game 4.
Nikolaj Ehlers 60 Min Player To Record 2+ Shots On Goal (-460)
Next up, we’ll back Winnipeg Jets LW Nikolaj Ehlers to record 2+ shots on goal in regulation. Ehlers, along with Kyle Connor, each lead Winnipeg with 12 shots on goal through three games against Dallas.
Ehlers has recorded 10 shots on goal in the last two games facing the Stars. He scored twice and recorded an assist during the Jets’ 4-0 win in Game 2, while logging three shots on goal in Game 3.
Ehlers is priced at -460 in this market, compared to Connor at -560, so let’s grab the longer price and back Ehlers to record two or more shots on goal for the second leg.
Mikko Rantanen 60 Min Player To Record 2+ Shots On Goal (-280)
I flip flopped between a point and two shots on goal during regulation for Mikko Rantanen. The Stars’ RW has been the best player in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs so far, recording three points in two of three games against Winnipeg.
Rantanen only logged one shot on goal during Dallas’ 4-0 shutout loss on the road in Game 2. He’s had multiple points in every other game in this series but I’d rather back him to get two pucks on Hellebuyck at -280 odds, which is a better price compared to 1+ point at -295 odds.
Rantanen will be active in the offensive zone for the Stars, leading to plenty of good looks at the net. There’s no other player to close out an NHL Same Game Parlay with than Rantanen right now, so let’s back him to record 2+ shots on goal in 60 minutes at -280 odds.
NHL SGP (+166)
We’ve constructed a +166 NHL Same Game Parlay all by staying within one specific betting market. We’re entrusting two Dallas players, Thomas Harley and Mikko Rantanen, to each record 2+ shots on goal during regulation tonight.
Then, we’re going to do the same with Winnipeg and back one of their leading shooters, Nikolaj Ehlers, as the longer option at -460 odds. As long as all three of these guys are healthy and on the ice tonight, there’s a great chance we cash this +166 NHL Same Game Parlay.
Let’s cheer for each player to record two or more shots on goal in 60 minutes during Game 4 between the Jets and Stars. Bet up to a unit on this +166 NHL SGP and let’s stay hot on the ice.
