NBA Player Props Bet Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (4/30)
We are into the NBA playoffs with multiple teams trying to take a 3-1 lead to earn a series dub. The season has been fun, and we got some goliaths at the top of the food chain, but these have been and will hopefully continue being a fantastic NBA playoffs. If you're just joining us for the first time, welcome. It's been a great year, and I hope we continue that trend tonight. As always, monitor any potential news and lineup announcements. The best way to stay informed about NBA player props is to stay up-to-date with the latest news. That's not as prevalent in the playoffs, but you never know what might happen. The second best way is to shop around at different books. Player props rarely have identical odds across platforms, so ensure you get the best value. Let's get to it.
Unless specified otherwise, each bet will be a single unit.
Wednesday Best NBA Player Prop Bets
Last Time: 3-0 | Season: 153-107
LeBron James Over 43.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (-115 at DraftKings)
I will lead by saying that this isn't the sharpest bet I've ever made, but probably is the strongest emotional wager I've made all season and perhaps my career as a gambler. While this may not be LeBron's last game, even if the Lakers lose, knowing it could be is enough motivation in my mind to go over this inflated line. Los Angeles is returning home, where James gets a bump in stats, and JJ Redick has been playing the starters insane minutes, so James could easily see over 40 minutes on the floor tonight and is bound to get plenty of opportunity. He's covered this line in two consecutive games, so I'm running it back that he will do it again. Besides, I couldn't live with myself, fading LeBron in his final career game.
Jalen Green Over 19.5 Pts + Ast (-120 at FanDuel)
A player I will keep going back to these playoffs is Jalen Green. He's had a weird time facing the Warriors, struggling to score in the double-digits in three of the four games and then blasting off for 38 in Game 2. I'm guessing you'll find a happy medium tonight, but feel free to bet some alts if you so choose because he's due for another explosion. With their backs against the wall, returning home to Houston, I expect the Rockets to win this game. Green was a big part of their other series win, and it came at home, where he had a whopping 37 percent usage rate. I imagine they'll scheme things up a bit more his way, and he's averaging 21 points a game on the season. Sure, the Warriors’ defense has proved legitimate, but it's hard to imagine Green continuing to return so little to the stat sheet. This is a line he has covered in 65 percent of games this year, so I'm more than willing to roll those dice.
Anthony Edwards Under 40.5 Pts + Ast + Reb (-105 at DraftKings)
To play the narrative of LeBron-Luka combo going off and the Lakers bouncing back at home, you have to go negative the other way too. I'm not alone here, though, as the BettingPros Prop Bet Cheet Sheet projects Ant closer to 37 on this combo prop. The Sheet has been my saving grace this season, and I trust it with my life. This is a line that the Minnesota guard has only covered in 35 percent of games this year, and the Lakers’ defense gets a bump at home. After a 43-point effort, his props are inflated, so I'm zagging here.
