MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Friday (4/25)

Is there a better way to head into the weekend than putting some money down on a few MLB same-game parlays (SGPs)? Don't answer that. Instead, let's talk baseball. To be more precise, let's talk about betting on a few MLB same-game parlays.

I don't guarantee winners, but I do guarantee that each of the following SGPs have been well thought out after thoroughly researching the available MLB betting and props markets.

Friday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Picks

Baltimore Orioles vs. Detroit Tigers

Detroit has a rest advantage, they are playing at home, they lead their division and are putting a pitcher on the mound with a 2.22 ERA. Baltimore is starting a guy making his second career start. In his first start, he lasted four innings, giving up seven hits and three runs.

Baltimore has been struggling to make contact and probably won’t make much (if any) against the Tigers. Detroit, on the other hand, has been hitting well over the last week (.256) and should have a solid day against a lackluster Orioles squad.

Young had just three strikeouts in his first start. He was a decent strikeout pitcher in the Minors, but it’s too soon to tell if that talent will translate to the Major League level. At least for this week, against a Tigers roster that doesn't strike out a lot,  I'm rolling the dice on the under.

It's a little risky, but if you win, a $100 wager will result in a $480 payday - your stake of $100 plus $380 in winnings.

New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Mets do not have the comfort of home to fall back on Friday night, but they do have a lights-out pitcher taking the mound to start the game. Through four starts, he has a 0.79 ERA and a WHIP of 0.97.

Nationals starter Jake Irvin is off to a decent start this season. He's gone 2-0 in five starts with a 3.68 ERA. After giving up seven hits in each of his first two starts, he held teams to four, three and three hits most recently.

Neither team is hitting poorly at the moment, but with two solid pitchers taking the mound, the score won’t be too high.

Kodai Senga started the season with eight strikeouts in his first start, then had four in each of the other three. Washington has struck out the fewest times in the league over the last week. I'm a Senga fan, but I don't see him striking out too many guys in this one.

A $100 wager will result in a $288 payday - your stake ($100) plus $188 in winnings.

Parlay Odds: +188

Atlanta Braves vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Both teams are putting questionable pitchers on the mound to start the day with significant ERAs (Chris Sale: 6.17; Zac Gallen: 5.60). Neither has been hard to hit, and between the two of them, they've given up nine home runs to start the season. Atlanta has been hitting well lately; Arizona, not as much.

But against these pitchers, we'll see both teams racking up the hits and probably a home run or two as the final score easily goes over 8.5.

Facing the Braves might be just what the Diamondbacks’ lineup needs. Once Sale gets pulled (probably around the fourth inning), they'll turn to a bullpen that is not much better than Sale. That will give Arizona an edge and result in a win.
