There is a lot to like about Chunk of Gold. In the young horse's four race career he has one win to his name and three second-place finishes. His first two races, including his win, were on synthetic surfaces, but his last two were on dirt tracks.

He is considered one of the slower horses in the field but makes up for it with his ability to race inside horses-or, basically in traffic. However, that ability will likely not help since he is starting out in the No. 19 position. That being said, regardless of his speed, he has finished in second on two dirt tracks.

I don't think I'd take him to win, but I'd include him in an exotic bet.
